According to the Just Picture It Now Newsletter, YTB has found a way to sell Royal Caribbean cruises once again. Initially it will only be through their travel support number, but shortly it will be available on their booking engine as well. Here is what the newsletter said:
Effective tomorrow, (that's Monday, April 16th) we will be able to book Royal Caribbean Brands through our own Travel Support phone number.
On (or about) May 1st, Royal Caribbean Brands will reappear on our booking engines so everyone and anyone can once again begin booking cruises with Royal Caribbean.
At this time, we are not cleared to book directly with Royal Caribbean - and we do not have a specific timeline when we will be able to book directly once again with RCCL.
Bottom line - after 4 1/2 years - YTB is back with RCCL.This is most likely one of the perks of being acquired by First Travel Alliance and likely a similar program when Royal Caribbean bookings for YTB were being run through their sister company (a legitimate host agency) in Florida that was lost when YTB and the Brents (Rezconnect) split ways.
Royal Caribbean has not issues a statement on this new found relationship just yet.
