at7:00 amAs you read this I will be heading home from Vienna where I will have attended the wedding of two very close friends.
As such I think you can guess what the last song from the list is likely to be.
But I have to be clear, I have finally started to look out some new music again and I have to say it is a good feeling. New music like this chilled bleepy bit of electronica. It is by D33J a Californian DJ who does cool things with beats and noises.
I also found I really like this "Ironworks" by Baths which is pretty much brand new from an LP called Obsidian which came out at the end of last month on Anticon. I missed his first album (which was fairly acclaimed I think) and think I might need to check that out too. I love the sound on this and the looping, off kilter backing.
As you might be able to tell, chilled music seems to be where it is at for me right now. I think I need it after the last few very hectic weeks! But of course as you read this I should be pretty chilled after some time in Vienna.
Ahem...

Monday Music - Arts and Crafts
at7:30 amI do love the Arts and Crafts record label, and this year to celebrate turning 10 they are doing a whole lot of exciting things, including exhibitions, music releases and an amazing festival in Toronto that Christy got to go to (SO VERY JEALOUS).
This post is therefore dedicated to the Arts and Crafts label and consists of this this brilliant CD they put together for thier birthday and are streaming on Soundcloud. It is sublime (and Christy got a free copy at Field Trip). Enjoy! Tags:Monday Music, musicEmail ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to Facebook2 comments:
